Submissions deadline extended for the ICA CCR Global Research Conference

The deadline for submissions for the ICA Committee on Cooperative Research (CCR) Global Research Conference has been extended to 29 January 2025.

An annual event, the ICA CCR Research Conference brings together researchers and stakeholders from the international cooperative ecosystem, including practitioners and policymakers. This year’s edition, which will mark the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives, will emphasise the importance of intercooperation in creating transformative change for justice, sustainability, and prosperity. The conference is hosted by the Institut international des coopérative Alphonse-et-Dorimène-Desjardins (IICADD) at HEC Montréal, in Quebec, Canada.

Despite receiving a high number of submissions, the conference team decided to extend the deadline after being contacted by interested scholars who had not yet been able to submit their proposals.

The conference will hear from a number of keynote speakers, including Chantal Line Carpentier, Head of Trade, Environment, and Climate Change Branch at UNCTAD; Cynthia Giagnocavo, Chair of the ICA CCR and Professor, Universidad de Almería; Yuill Herbert, Principal, SSG (Sustainability Solutions Group); Odette Lobato, Professor, Universidad Iberoamericana; Mélanie McDonald, Executive Director, Chemin de transitions; and Marcelo Vieta, Professor, University of Toronto.

Information on the selection and evaluation process will be available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the conference team is actively building the registration platform for the conference. 

Applicants will be notified of the decision regarding their submissions by 15 February.

The Early Bird Registration deadline is 15 March. Registrations will close on 20 June.
